Well, Clerkenwell Grad Week (CGW) is coming to an end this week. And what a week it has been!
This is Clerkenwell Showrooms (CS) second year in managing CGW - and most of our showroom members have agreed to partner with Interior Design Universities up and down the country - as well as participate in collective tours and activities.
Egger London Showroom
To begin, Egger partnered with Teesside University and has identified CGW as one of its four pillars of showroom activity. Generously, Egger has covered the students travel and accommodation costs while also providing its showroom to host students work, reception events and speakers.
CGW Student Tour
Each year, the students are given a tour of the Clerkenwell District so they can visit as many showrooms as possible.
Jeremy from CS managed the tour which included; Bisley, Shaw Contract, Frem Group, MagScapes, Assmann, Tarkett, Rak Ceramics, Ideal / Villeroy Bosch, Modulyss, and Arper.
Amazingly, we managed the whistlestop tour in just over two hours - but as you can see it was quite a journey…
Oh and if that were not enough, to end the week there was an evening reception hosted by CS for Egger and Teesside Students at No 5 - the multibrand showroom in Albemarle Way.
IE Awards at Miller Knoll
Plus, Miller Knoll who hosted Interior Educators (IE) student awards in their showroom and Maria kindly gave Teesside Students a full tour of the students work as well as the fabulous Miller Knoll showroom itself.
New Designers at BDC
And finally, not forgetting that ‘New Designers’ show held at Business Design Centre were showcasing product designers - making Clerkenwell CGW a truly unforgettable experience for everyone interested in next generation product and interior design.
